For Halloween this year the kids and I went up to Washington. Hyrum had a few days off school so it was good timing. I was planning on Hyrum being a grasshopper from "A Bug's Life" because we bought the costume a couple years ago and it just now fits him, but he kept insisiting he wanted to be something scary. For those of you that know Hyrum, you know that he's pretty good at getting what he wants-- in a good way. Well, it just so happened that my sister was planning on dressing her son up as a vampire so she had everything I needed except a cape which she picked up at the store for me. Effortless costume on my part :) Lydia was a giraffe (which was a hair small).

Unfortunately, Jackson was sick on Halloween so he didn't get dressed up but Hyrum and Jessica were both vampires and had a great time trick or treating together.
Sorry to post a picture of you with your eyes closed, Dad, but I wanted one with you and the kids.
Dustin and Andrea and their kids joined us later in the night while we were out trick or treating. Dustin was the Cat in the Hat and their twins were Thing One and Thing Two. It was adorable! Lydia caught right on to the whole trick or treating thing and started running from house to house. When you're two and your Mom restricts sweets, what could be better than people giving you handfuls and handuls of candy?
