October 2016

Happy 4th birthday, Porter! Dad made Porter his very own "P" for Porter pancake for breakfast. Porter, you bring so much joy to our home and to your mama's heart!  We love every little piece of you.  Some of the things you love right now are 4wheelers, camping, and playing with your brothers and friends.  You also love to ride your new bike.  We're grateful for your still peaceful energy which brings calm to our sometimes crazy home.

So excited for a big boy bike!

My last baby (sad for me). This is one of my favorite pictures. So incredibly precious! As rough and boyish as he is, he LOVES baby dolls.  Won't go to sleep without his baby.

Porter's sharing his superhero costumes he got for his birthday so we can have a superhero family.

Lydia planned a fun birthday party for Porter.  Even had the witch's brew (dry ice and root beer).

Rosy, Elyse, Porter, Rachel, Zerin, Ari, Bo, Eph, and Lydia

Grandma Shauna gave Porter his very own hot chocolate and boy was he excited! (He graciously shared his hot chocolate with everyone as well.  True to his sweet and generous nature).

Applesauce making time.  We have sweet friends who gift us apples (trade with Jon). What a blessing!

Way to go, brother!  He brought home the meat on this big moose and was more than happy to do so!

Trick-or-treating to our dear friend, Lorrie. (Don't know who the other two kids are)

These 3 couldn't wait to hit the streets.  They ran from house to house.  As much as I don't like the kids eating candy and the idea of poising our children every Halloween, I love to watch their excitement and see how adorable they are in their costumes.

Post trick-or-treating.  Going through the loot and trading with Kate.

We were blessed to have Grandma Shauna spend Halloween with us.  She was kind and took these two out for some more after the Trunk-or-treat.

Hyrum made the coolest headpiece EVER and did a little trick or treating with friends. The only pictures we had don't do justice to his amazing headpiece.  Way to be creative, bud!

Hyrum's once-in-a-lifetime Idaho moose!  Way to go, buddy!

A friend of Jon's gifted us lots of yummy grapes to make juice with.

Dad and Hyrum were gone moose hunting all month so Lydia was my helper.  She did a great job and was a tremendous help! (Not just with grapes, but mostly with her 3 little brothers.  I might not survive hunting season without her.  Seriously.)

Happy 2nd birthday to our little spit fire, Ephraim!  Even though you're my baby and always will be, you're not much for being the baby.  You were the first to crawl and the first to walk.  You're strong-willed and Mr. Independent.  When I was talking with a friend about you, she made the comment, "It's hard to raise leaders."  So true!  You know what you want in life and at times it appears you don't need anyone to help you get it (even and the young age of two!). It's a joy to watch you grow and develop (and try to keep up with you).  I'm so grateful to be your mom and couldn't love you more! You'll always be my little Ephie.  Things you love: your baby dolls, sucking your thumb, sea horse (plays music and you sleep with it every night), Sydia (Sissy + Lydia), all your brothers, going anywhere (especially with Daddy), 4wheelers, our side by side, trucks, and any kind of toy that hauls or tows something.  You also love your Nana & Bapa (Gma Shauna & Gpa Fred).  You love to go for walks with Nana and you love to play with Bapa.  You ask for me to take you to Nana's house often and frequently say, "Bapa get me, hide!" and then you run away.  What a joy you are little one!

Dad and Hyrum were off hunting on Ephraim's birthday (surprise, surprise) so I took the other kids into Nampa van shopping and to dinner at Golden Corral.

Hanging out at a dealership while Mom looked at vans.

Ephraim loved the birthday card Nana & Bapa sent him.  Grandma & Grandpa Lindsey also sent him one with $2. His favorite present was his baby doll stroller.  Now he can take his baby for walks.

My Greastest Blessings!
