Thanksgiving

We went to Washington for Thanksgiving. It was fun to spend the holiday with my siblings but it was even more fun to witness THIS....

These are our good friends, Molly and Allan.  I have known Molly nearly all my life and we met Allan at Chiropractic school in Texas.  He was Hyrum's "manny."  Just kidding, but really he was awesome with Hyrum and Hyrum loved him.  We set these two up in Jan. 2010 after trying for nearly four years!!  I couldn't be happier that they are now happily married.  There is nothing better than being married to your best friend.  (I speak from personal experience!)

Grandma and Grandpa DeCoria were in Idaho with Grandma's family and Dallas and Brooke were in Yakima.  We missed you all!  Thanks Dustin and Andrea for hosting.  You are always so kind to welcome everyone in your home!

Happy Birthday, Hyrum!

Several months ago Hyrum took over my bike.  Not because he didn't have one of his own, but because he wanted a bigger one (he is quiet a tall child).  That made family bike rides a little tricky.  The morning of his birthday he requested German pancakes for breakfast and as I was making them Jon asked Hyrum to go borrow a couple eggs from our neighbors.  Upon borrowing the eggs he discovered this new bike in their garage.  Needless to say he is pretty excited about it.

What would Hyrum choose to do on his birthday?  Hunt, of course!!
What a lucky kid to have a Dad that signed you up for hunter's safety two years early so that you can legally hunt birds.  Hyrum appears to be a better shot than his Dad and brought home three quail (Jon also brought home three).
My bike isn't the only thing Hyrum's taken over--those are my boots he's wearing.

About to enjoy some mint ice cream cake.
Happy 9th Birthday, Hyrum!  We love you and are so glad you're a part of our family!  You're a very sweet child and HUGE help to me.  Thanks for being the BIG brother!

Trip to UT/Halloween weekend

This was a pre-Halloween run through.  They were a little excited for their costumes.
Jon's Grandma Pearl turned 90 and the family through her a party down in Utah.  Most of Jon's siblings came.  It's always nice to see everyone.  We left late Thursday night and stayed in Jerome so Jon could check out an archery area Friday morning.  The hunting was no good but the kids and I enjoyed breakfast in the morning and swimming in the pool while we waited for him.  Friday night we watched the World Series and visited with family while the children swam.  Most of Saturday was spent at the birthday party and Sunday we went to Temple Square for a few hours and then headed home.

Nora sure loves her Uncle Jonnie :)

Lydia loved riding this cute little pony.

More pony riding with her cousin Danny.

Hyrum and Cooper in their costumes for Gma's play.  Gma Lindsey wrote a poem about Willford Woodruff and did a surprise run through for Gma Pearl.

Sweet Grandma Pearl.

It seems this boy is ALWAYS in camo...
Fun on the toys with Dad!

Lydia is a such a little momma.  She helped take care of Nora and Kiera all weekend.  She commented the other day that she can't wait to grow up so she can have a baby.

On the way to the trunk-or-treat

Cousin Cooper came home with us from Utah and spent a couple days with us.  It was fun to have him.
Jon loves to be silly and have fun.  He threw on a few random items from the kids' toy room.
