We spent a long weekend in Council. The first since New Year's. The weather was BEAUTIFUL and we had such a wonderful time. It's always so nice to get away from normal life and take a break from electronics and just spend time together as a family. Thursday Jon and I went to adult swim at Starkey. Friday Jon went to work for most of the day but got off early. When he got back to Council we took a hike to look for elk. We took Porter, Zerin, and Hyrum while Lydia stayed behind with Ephraim. I wish I had a picture of the hill/mountain we hiked because it was HUGE and steep. Zerin was AMAZING! He hiked the entire way and barely even complained. It was so fun to get out and enjoy the beautiful spring weather. Saturday we took advantage of family swim day at Starkey. The kids enjoyed swimming in the sunshine. Zerin loved it the most as he's our little swim bug :) Sunday we attended church. It was fast and testimony meeting and Zerin loves to bear his testimony. He loves to talk in microphones. Hyrum took him up and of course Porter tagged along. After Zerin's testimony Hyrum tried to get Porter to come back down but he kept saying "Me turn! Me turn!" Then he went to the microphone, we couldn't see him because he's so little, but we could hear him, "Father, macamony, AMEN!" Everyone chuckled a little and I have to admit it was the most precious thing to hear. He knew exactly what he was doing! He wanted to bear is "macamony." So grateful for sweet precious children! Unfortunately, our photos from this weekend were deleted :(
