8 Months Old

My sweet little baby is 8 months old today!  Some stats on Zerin:  still has only 2 bottom teeth, loves to eat food, doesn't sleep through most nights :(, happy as can be, scoots around on his back, rolls all over, loves to play, and makes adorable sounds with his little voice.

Just wanted to document...

That at 32 years old, I just today, got my 1st cell phone.  People were always astonished when I'd tell them I didn't have one.  I guess I'm just old fashioned and like to dig my heels in when it comes to conforming to modern day.  Jon and I share a limited minute plan with no text messaging and no Internet.  I don't intent to use it often; mainly during hunting season when my husband and I go different ways.

PS I guess to be completely honest... when I lived in Provo the job I had gave me a cell phone.  That was back in 2000 when cell phones still weren't that popular.  I don't remember using it much and only had it for a few months.

Swimming

 Since Jon will be in Alaska for Lydia's actually birthday we took her swimming today to celebrate.

 Swimming lessons was so great for both of the kids.  They are much more confident in the water.

This picture of Lydia is blurry but I love it because it shows the true nature of the this little girl.  She is high energy and LOVES life!  This is a common expression on her beautiful face.

Jon's main birthday present this year is his upcoming trip to Alaska to hunt moose and all that goes with that.  In addition, the children and I gave him a book, some flip flops, and some snacks for his trip.  G & G DeCoria sent him a book on CD by Henry B. Eyring and G & G Lindsey gave us the Church News.

In the morning Jon and Hyrum went out to the gun range, Jon and I both worked the afternoon, and then we all went to Boise for dinner at Tucanos and some time at Cabelas.

This is how we roll at our house...eat out of the pan.  It taste yummier that way :)

One of Jon's favorite activities right now is to sit on the back porch in the evening.  He's worked hard to make our yard look wonderful!  We love you Jonnie/Daddio!  Thanks for being so amazing!  We are truly blessed to have you!!

Camping

 We went camping, boating, and fishing at Woodhead this last weekend on Brownlee Reservoir.  Jon also spent a day scouting (of course!).  It was really hot, thank goodness we have a trailer with AC and we camped by a grassy area with shade trees.

 The water felt really good and the kids had fun swimming.

 Hyrum is quite the fisherman!  He loves and caught a big catfish along with a few other smaller ones.

 Lydia is so photogenic and poses all on her own :)  What an adorable little girl!

 Hyrum was off fishing when I took all these.  That's why there aren't any pictures of him.  I love you just as much, buddy!
