Camping with Friends

We went up to Spring Creek campground this Father's Day weekend with our friends, the Davis'. Hyrum's in Washington at Cooper's house so he missed out on the fun. My dear sweet friend Lisa was so kind to take care of me since I didn't feel well. It was nice to get out and get some fresh air.

We took some 4wheelers and one evening Jon and Tim went for a little ride to look for animals. They arrived back at camp around 5hrs later, 10:30-11pm. I felt bad because starting around 8pm Lisa was getting a little worried. I, on the other hand, wouldn't expect anything else of my husband and had gone to bed long before they returned.

Hyrum baseball

Hyrum played, and really enjoyed, spring baseball. This was his first year with a pitching machine and he had no problem connecting bat with ball. I think he's decided baseball is one of his favorite sports. As always, we enjoyed watching him have a good time.

Memorial Day

Some of our neighbors invited a group of us over to their fun backyard for a Memorial Day BBQ. They have the perfect yard with a gazebo and BBQ, a trampoline, swing set, sand volleyball court, and an acre of grass with a soccer goal. What more could you want for some family fun and just around the corner from us!

The house next to our friends' is vacant with a nice cement pad with a basketball hoop--even more fun for the kids!

Jon enjoying some sand volleyball. We actually played several volleyball games and had a great time!

Fathers and Sons campout

We joined the stake in a campout, Hyrum brought his buddy Trevor with us. It was just below Owyhee dam at the church camp- Camp Hycliff. It rained a good portion of the weekend and was very cold for May. Thanks to the nice Hot spring, and good fishing we had a good time.

The boys said the best part was the Hot spring (Snively). We soaked in it twice. 12 miles before the dam, just on the river.
Hyrum trying to catch a large brown trout that run the river.

Hyrum earned the name Mr. Crappy for his out fishing the competition for crappie.

Boys smiling with their loot. Lots of work for Dad.

A few days later we went to check out Paddock resorvoir not known for a lot of fish, but we saw a lot of wildlife.

Hyrum finishing off a rattle snake we had to eliminate on the way to paddock.
