Hyrum's month was full of basketball. The season's are short but intense. He did really well and we enjoy watching him. All these photos are blurry because my camera doesn't do so well with people moving...
We spent Thanksgiving in Nevada this year with the Lindsey Family. We stayed all but one night with Larisa's family in Carson City. Some of the family stayed at the Virginia City Inn (Grandma and Grandpa's motel, we stayed there one night) and some stayed at their home not far from the motel. Thanksgiving day was celebrated at Larisa's. It was a fun trip and always so nice to visit with family.
Grandma and Grandpa took everyone on the Virginia City Candy Cane Express as part of our Christmas present. Grandma, of course, wanted everyone to dress up in old clothing. Cooper (Susan) was paid money to dress like a girl...
Poor Lydia was sick this day and stayed and slept in the motel room.
Zerin so excited about his hot chocolate, yum yum!
| These two are six weeks apart. They barely know each other but that didn't keep them from holding hands. It was adorable and I'm sure they'll be the best of friends some day. |
We started off the month by purchasing a new dinning table. It's been perfect for Sunday's when we have extra people over for dinner. Jon's been doing missionary work so we've been blessed to have extra people at Church (Ernie, Korey, Motsee) and over for dinner.
Happy 11th Birthday, Hyrum! This is the crazy crew that celebrated with him. (Kade, Weston D., Weston J., Hyrum and Dawson). They ate pizza, wrestled, played basketball at the Church, had cake and ice cream and finished it all off with ping pong.
It's crazy that you're already 11 years old, Hyrum! For years you and your Dad have been talking and planning for when you turn 12 and you're able to hunt big game. At the time it seemed so far away to me. Now here it is, one year away! You are a very wise child and learning has always come easy to you. It'll be interesting to see what you do with all the knowledge you have and the knowledge you'll continue to easily attain. You have a kind and thoughtful heart and love to have fun. It's a joy to have you as our son. We love you!
Cool socks are the "in" thing right now. He got a couple pair along with some BSU clothing, a Fruitland sweatshirt, a book, two footballs, a game and cash.
Grandma and Grandpa passed through on their way back from Utah again this weekend. It sure is convenient to live right off the Interstate!
Lydia found this stray in the neighbor's yard one day... I hope it found it's way home
