Trip to UT/Halloween weekend

This was a pre-Halloween run through.  They were a little excited for their costumes.
Jon's Grandma Pearl turned 90 and the family through her a party down in Utah.  Most of Jon's siblings came.  It's always nice to see everyone.  We left late Thursday night and stayed in Jerome so Jon could check out an archery area Friday morning.  The hunting was no good but the kids and I enjoyed breakfast in the morning and swimming in the pool while we waited for him.  Friday night we watched the World Series and visited with family while the children swam.  Most of Saturday was spent at the birthday party and Sunday we went to Temple Square for a few hours and then headed home.

Nora sure loves her Uncle Jonnie :)

Lydia loved riding this cute little pony.
Our little scavenger :)
More pony riding with her cousin Danny.

Hyrum and Cooper in their costumes for Gma's play.  Gma Lindsey wrote a poem about Willford Woodruff and did a surprise run through for Gma Pearl.

Sweet Grandma Pearl.

It seems this boy is ALWAYS in camo...
Fun on the toys with Dad!

Lydia is a such a little momma.  She helped take care of Nora and Kiera all weekend.  She commented the other day that she can't wait to grow up so she can have a baby.

On the way to the trunk-or-treat

Cousin Cooper came home with us from Utah and spent a couple days with us.  It was fun to have him.
Jon loves to be silly and have fun.  He threw on a few random items from the kids' toy room.

Today...

I made applesauce while listening to one of my favorite CDs, helped my children bake cookies, and enjoyed the sunshine.

Lydia is such a good little helper.  She loves to help me in the kitchen.  She's also an amazing help with Zerin.  I call her the 2nd Momma and she deserves it!  Thanks for helping me make applesauce, Lydia!  I love you!

October, so far...

This is apparently what happens when I ask Jon to work on scouts with Hyrum... boy will be boys!

My happy adorable little guy :)

Miss Lydia started Preschool.  Hooray!  She loves it!
Lydia picked out a Halloween costume at the store last night and first thing this morning came running in our room asking if she could try it on.  (Picture's a little blurry)
PS Hyrum's selling his air soft gun if anyone's interestedI caught him taking pictures of it yesterday and when I asked him what he was doing he informed me he's going to list it on craigslist.  The best part?  He's selling it for only $11.99, great buy considering you'd pay at least $12.97 at the store :)  Get it now while it lasts!
A few other sides notes... I bought a Kirby vacuum cleaner last month and I love it!  No, I didn't buy it from the door to door salesman that was at my house for fours hours, though he did convince me to buy one.  Instead of $900 like he offered me, I found one on ebay for $425- brand spanking new!

We spent this last weekend in WA for my parent's anniversary.  They invited us all (siblings and spouses) to attend the Temple with the them.  Since our Temple is closed for remodeling it worked out perfect.  It's always so nice to be in the Temple with those I love the most.

Lastly, we are now in deer hunting season for Jon.  Hyrum loves this time of year because he gets to tag along.  They went out earlier this week and are now gone for the weekend.  Jon was success during archery season and brought home a big 6x6 elk.  Time for me to start canning that AND the apples my parents gave us AND the chicken I ordered.  I need a wife to take care of my life so I can can!
