Camping on Mann's Creek River

We started the weekend off down by the reservoir with the boat planning on just fishing, but due to some roudy neighbors we decided to leave the boat there and take the trailer up the road a ways and camp on the river. Turned out to be a great idea! It was a pretty hot weekend for May so sitting by the river helped us all cool off.

Jon and Hyrum spent some time target shooting. Hyrum loves to do "boy" stuff with his Dad.

We went on a nice walk/hike up to Fairchild Reservoir that was a couple miles from where we camped. Jon and the kids road the 4-wheeler most of the way. (I started with Lydia in the jogger hoping she would fall asleep but she LOVES the 4-wheeler and threw a fit if we made her get off.)

The spring flowers were beautiful and once we got to the top and made it to the reservoir we laid out a blanket and ate lunch and did a little wading. The water was a little too cold for swimming and very murky.

Lydia and Dad enjoying some yummie watermelon by the river on a beautiful spring afternoon.
