Jon and I had a little bit of jet lag after coming back from Hawaii. We slept in a few mornings and Hyrum, being the super helper that he is, took it upon himself to make breakfast for all of us.

These are our bowls of oatmeal. Hyrum's is the blue one with only blueberries because he hadn't made enough, Lydia's is the metal one that's almost empty because she wakes up with a hungry tummy in the morning and quickly downed hers, Jon's is the one on the bottom right with loads of cinnamon and crushed almonds that Hyrum crushed himself in the blender, mine is the other. What you can't see from the picture is the uncooked nature of the oatmeal. Jon ate a few bites of his and told Hyrum how yummie it was while I secretly put mine in a pan and added a few cups of water to further cook it.

This is the pan Hyrum used. There was a pretty thick crust of oatmeal stuck to the bottom of the pan.

The blender Hyrum used to crush the almonds for his Dad because he knows Dad loves almonds in his oatmeal. All in all, Hyrum didn't do too bad for 6 1/2 years old and no formal training in the process of making oatmeal. He's an extremely creative little boy and again, just like his Dad, can do ANYTHING until proven otherwise. We love you, Hyrum! Thanks for the yummie breakfast :)
